Vevo today announced that Joseph Patel has joined the company as Vice President of Original Content in the New York office. In this role Joseph will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of Vevo’s original programming as the company looks to embark on an ambitious strategy for content creation in 2017.

Joseph most recently served as Vice President of Content + Creative at The FADER, where he executive produced a content slate that included documentaries, scripted shorts, music videos, festival livestreams and social media. In his time with The FADER, Joseph and his team increased traffic by a whopping 380% and increased video views for original and co-branded content by nearly 700%.

Prior to joining The FADER, he held leadership roles in content and programming at MTV News and Vice Media, where he supervised TV franchises for MTV and HBO.
